We stayed one night at the before our cruise and one night after. The staff is wonderful - very helpful. I left my expensive sunglasses in the lobby and the bellman had them for me. The rooms are clean and tidy, comfortable for two. No complaints other than the poor ""breakfast"" - think of it as a snack,not a meal. Others complained about the slow elevator but we did not find that to be a problem.

We just returned from a month's holiday in the States. We started at the Palms and enjoyed it so much that we booked for our return at the end of our holiday prior to returning to Australia. We were upgraded to a suite at no additional charge which was lovely. The room was nice with a lovely view. Very close to everything. The Wailana coffee shop on the corner has good food and a discount for those staying at the Palms. We will stay here again.

I stayed at the Aqua for 3 nights. Breakfast consisted on mini-muffins, croissants, coffee, orange juice, apples and bananas. My room was a city-view room. The view was great. Stay away from room 806 or any other room ending in 6, as it backs onto the elevator bank and is extremely noisy. Another disappointment was I had maid service for only one night, and the checkout desk person tried to overcharge me for the stay. Luckily I had my invoice printout with me.
