Excellent Hotel
11/13/2007The hotel was outstanding! the rooms were spacious with modern design. very clean. the location was very good. walking distance to the monuments. the subway was a block away.

One thing though it seems like their systems suck. Our Travel agency reservation didn't flow to their system so we had hard time checking in. Further I ordered breakfast in the morning. After waiting for an hour I called back and I was told again that they don't see my order in the system.
Despite the service I would stay again in the hotel. It is definitely a "Four Seasons" quality. -

Service was excellent! Conveniently located to White House and The Mall. Bathroom has a separate shower and bath. Concierge was all knowing! The bedroom was a good size for a King Bed room. Would recommend this hotel.

Staff was very accomodating when we asked to get switched from a smoking to non smoking room. Everyone was very courteous. Breakfast while a bit pricey included unlimited very good coffee and unlimited fresh squeezed OJ. Would highly recommend staying at this hotel. Just steps from the Whitehouse and a few blocks from the Mall area and monuments. Cant beat it.

My wife and I are always traveling and this was our first time staying at a Sofitel, it was excellent! Great luxury at an affordable price. Just as nice as the Ritz at less than half the price! Very modern room design and a great little bar with outdoor seating and nice indoor conversation seating. It was great to sit on the street and people watch while you have one of their award-winning martini's. Easy to get to all the local attractions, its only 1 block to Layfette Park and the White House. Tons of dining options around the hotel as well.
We liked it so much we stayed at the Sofitel in Philadelphia the following week!
