i have stayed at the plaza several times. I knew what i was paying for. The rooms are very old, but i know they are renovating them. It is a great location for downtown. I wanted to stay downtown and when i do i stay there. I am very interested in what the rooms will look like when they are done. I have never had a bad stay there.

Being one of the older hotels in Vegas, this hotel was comfortable. I would have liked a coffee maker in the room. Fortunately there were small eateries in the lobby and a convenient mart close by.

got this as a travel package for a great price. Not the best place to stay at on freemont street, but then again i guess not the worst. As stated when you go to vegas all you really want to do is sleep for a few hours and get going out and do what you do, and this is perfect spot for that, right at the start of freemont. really was no noise that i have heard some people complain of esp when the shows and light show go on down there. on a recent trip this past november, almost all the casino was closed off as well as the whole hotel. it was getting a major renovation. havent heard about it opening as of yet, but i asked and they said it should be 100% better.

This legendary hotel has been featured in many movies, TV shows etc. It has the perfect location if you want to be downtown on Freemont Street. The hotel rooms have wonderful views of either the mountains or The Strip depending on which side of hotel you stay. The room decor is older but they are currently under renovation to be made available early spring 2011. I will definitely be going back later this year to check out the new rooms. The staff at The Plaza cannot be beat. We went into many different hotels and nothing compared to the friendliness you see at The Plaza. They also have great drink and food specials. Other than the rooms needing to re-done, this hotel has been our favorite yet!!
