Our stay at the Caribe Hilton was one of great anxiety!! Three days into our stay, our youngest son started to exhibit some kind of bites on his legs. Being frequent travelers, our immediate response was BED BUGS. We called the front desk to ask what course of action to take, and we were greeted with such professionalism that consisted of the House Doctor to Housekeeping. The problem was not BUG BUGS, but some little insects that are common to the island!!! He had been playing in some bushes, and those little critters got the best of him. We felt so relieved and could not rave enough on how the Hotel handled the whole situation. Would we go back again, in a heart beat!!!!Clean, discreet, efficient staff and wonderful surroundings. A place for families or the romantic week-end. No bugs, from MA

We chose this hotel to house our guests for our wedding. It was a super location ,and with a casino, several pools, a beach and a rental car company adjacent to the hotel, there was something for everyone. My biggest concern was that the hotel over booked its events and there was just not enough staff to help. While I would probably never hold an event there again, I would stay for a weekend getaway.

I stayed in the older section of the Hotel. The room was very old and somewhat dirty. The view from our room was horrible. All I could see was the trashy space between buildings. Such a same given the newer section overlooked the ocean and pool area. I traveled from NH and planned to enjoy Puerto Rico the day before our cruise departed. Very disappointed. Wouldn't stay at this resort hotel again. Very pricey and the resturants on site were extremely expensive - The cheapest thing on the menu was spagetti for $22.00 and there were no meatballs!!! Not the greatest location for traveling on foot. The only positive was the pool and beach front were nice.

The pools alone were worth the entire trip! Lovely, lovely. They overlooked the ocean, (which we also swam in). The hotel was chosen for its proximity between the airport and the cruise terminal. The room was a bit dated, but the VIEWS were fantastic! We could easily see the ocean & the city. Very relaxing and convenient.

What a fantastic place to stay. The location was perfect, easy to get to the east coast for Sail & Snorkle excursions (the Eagle II was awesome), easy to get to the El Yunque rain forest, and very to close to Old San Juan and the fort tours. The resort had a great multilevel pool with water flowing over the sides from various levels and a swim up bar. The protected beach area was fantastic with good snorkeling right off the beach (lots of fish) and multiple surf breakers making the water easy to swim with younger children. The Atlantic surf can be rough without the protection. The onsite restaurants were all good. Morton's steakhouse, Lemongrass (Asian/Sushi), Pina Colada Club, and an Italian spot along with a breakfast buffet and a couple poolside spots made dining very convenient. Not the cheapest places on earth but a good list of options. My wife and I traveled with our eight and five year old and we all loved the place. We would absolutely stay there again.
