The location was amazing- right next to the ocean and a 3 minute drive from Sea World San Diego. The theme was rather interesting- I felt as if I were in a resort in Southeast Asia or some island. The bed was amazingly comfortable. There wasn't much to the room, but it was spacious and the shower facilities were great. It's a typical 4 star hotel with good customer ratings

when we got to the hotel it looks nice from outside but when we got in our rooms It was old and we had no towels and no blow dryer , when we called front desk to ask for towels it took half an hour to bring them up to our room .Half the machines at the arcade dont work.

We just finished our trip on this Thanksgiving weekend with my family. All our kids love this Hawaii style hotel. They swim in the heated pool, ride cruise in the night, enjoy the spacy room. We walk beside the beach only 5 mins away from the hotel in the evening and morning. The whole environment is so relax and enjoyable. Even we walk in the trial in the garden. Makes us feel refresh.

The hotel is older so expect that but clean and pleasant. Standard rooms are average (we were in the tower). Every staff member that we talked to was very polite and helpful. Concierge even printed our boarding passes for the trip home. Lots of great restaurants within easy walking distance. Great walking paths on the ocean and the bay -- hotel is right in between the two. The only con is that Friday and Saturday nights are big college party nights. The hotel is in a very quiet area but the local restaurants are packed and noisy.
