Very enjoyable stay

Renovations were complete and the room was clean and maid service was great. To nit pick there were no towel racks which may have been taken down for the renovations and not put back up but everything else was great especially the beds which were the best I've slept in. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful concerning directions and other local information. Absolutely loved the location. We were there for Halloween and Bourbon St.was just a block away but when our energy got low our room was quiet while people staying on Bourbon St. were talking about crowd noises until 6:00 in the morning. May Bailey's bar has a neighborhood bar feel to it and was perfect for a quiet night cap after the frenetic party atmosphere on Bourbon St. It was a very good value for the price and I look forward to staying there again.

This hotel was awesome for our trip to New Orleans. The location was perfect for everything(Canal street where the street cars can take you anywhere, shopping, food, drug store, Bourbon Street, French Quarter, its all within walking distance) I would stay at this hotel again. The beds were very comfortable. The staff was very helpful. The only disapointment was the pool area, which was very small, but we weren't there to hang out at the pool.

Found the hotel to be a bit run down. Even though we booked a deluxe room, it was small and had no view other than the parking garage. There was only a small closet and no dresser to store clothes in. Only a small chest like piece of furniture that served as the stand for the TV and when opened had a shelf for the ice bucket, coffee maker and 2 very tiny drawers to put items in. The TV had fuzzy reception even though the reception in the bar was clear. We had to ask for extra towels and toilet paper, and instead of bringing the items up to us, we had to go down to get them. The mattresses on the bed were very soft and uncomfortable, but the bedding was nice. When we first arrived there was a lot of dust coming from a vent in the bathroom and floor looked like it had never been mopped. At breakfast, they were very slow in replinishing the fruit and eggs. We stayed at this hotel about 10 years ago and could really see that it was not as nice as we had remembered.

We loved the hotel room.We loved the proximity to Bourbon St., the French Market & Harrah's Casino. Despite the fact that only 3 towels were provided for 4 people and the coffee maker had no pot, our overall experience was excellent. Bellhops, front desk and hospitality staff were all very nice and very helpful with transportation needs and tips for local dining. The complimentary breakfast had variety enough to please all of us. The beds were the most comfortable hotel beds we have ever slept in and we are frequent travelers! We will definitely stay here again and in fact, can't wait to come back.

I brought my son and his girlfriend to New Orleans for a vacation and chose this hotel for the location and good reviews. Dauphine Orleans lived up to every expectation and more. What a wonderful charming hotel. The staff was great, the location was quiet even though it was only a block from Bourbon. Loved the saltwater pool. The morning breakfast was a great way to start a busy day. My son and his girlfriend are planning to go back to New Orleans within the next few months and will be staying no place but the Dauphine Orleans. I highly recommend this wonderful hotel.
