I have stayed at the Raleigh many times over the years. This last time was after it had changed ownership. I must say the best of it is still there; the charm, the location, the pool (oh, the pool !!). Good to see familiar faces. The restaurant (now The Royal) is rebranded and it is a welcome change. There is now a fitness area in one of the cabanas. The pool needed some fresh paint. The room decor, although still pleasant, may be updated. All in all, love The Raleigh.

My boyfriend and I had an overall pleasant experience at the hotel besides the event of his new 80G iPod being stolen from the room when we went out for dinner . The hotel staff did nothing other than suggest that we file a police report (what will a police report do for a stolen iPod?). The manager didn't offer to credit a night for the hotel or offer anything to makeup for the incident (two hotel workers had entered our room when we were gone - 1. person who restocked mini bar and 2. person who turned down our bed). If you stay here, lock all possessions in your safe and remember to take your iPod off the iPod doc on the night stand...

My husband and I came to the Raleigh for one nite...we live in FL and had always wanted to stay there. It was a fabulous stay! The Sunday Soiree by the pool w/ a DJ was fantastic! It was also nice to experience the pool on Monday where it was very quiet. The service was great as was the food! Our room was really nice and very comfortable...loved the ceiling fan over the bed! We walked everywhere(Lincoln Rd;Ocean Dr;Espanola Way)..good location. Loved it..want to go back for more than one nite!
