We enjoyed our stay at the Royal Pacific. The rooms and areas are clean. The pool is huge! The Polynesian decor was wonderful. The rooms have comfortable beds and a nice TV. It would have been nice if the rooms had a hair dryer available.

  • This hotel had nice amenities.

We were told upon arrival that that our room overlooked the pool. In reality the room overlooked trees and below the trees was an area where they through their broken furniture. This was very disheartening. We must have been on the floor with a lot of young people. There was a lot of noise in the middle of the night and early in the morning. Outside of the room the hotel was beautiful and the surrounding area was beautiful. It was suggested to go to another Universal Resort next time. We will definitely take that suggestion.

We received horrible service when we first arrived and it wasn't until we explained the situation to a manager that action was taken. The rooms are 2-person rooms and if you have more than 2 people in a room, you're charged $35/person/night, which is normal for an extra person charge. However, they still expect you to pay $25/night for a roll-away bed for your extra person. They didn't bring extra towels when we requested, so what the heck were we paying the extra-person charge for? The wait-staff and housekeepers seem nice, but there is a major communication barrier with most of them, making service difficult.

  • Over priced for the club room if you plan on being gone most of the day.

I reserved a club room. The shuttle to and from the hotel was not free, it cost $60 total. Upon arrival I was not told where the club lounge was located or how to get to it. The free complimentary breakfast has no hot food except oatmeal. Mostly pastries and fruit. There is no free water in the room either. If you go to the Hula Bar at the pool and charge to your room, be sure to double check the charges before leaving the bar to make sure they are correct. If you plan to go to the theme parks and be gone all day long, don't upgrade to a club room, its not worth the extra cost. The restaurants in the hotel are quite expensive. Eating and drinking at the theme parks and City Walk are much cheaper than inside the hotel.
