The grounds are beautiful. The service is excellent. The staff is friendly and professional. I like the fact that there is a seperate vanity area from the bathroom. Two people can get ready at the same time. I would like a microwave but that would preclude you from using room service or their restaurant. Room service and the restaurant are excellant but pricey. The mansion is off the "beaten path" which I like because I am just visiting family and the park is a great place to jog. There are no convience stores or shopping within walking distance. But, within a few miles you will find everything.

The hotel appeared to be nice but when entering the hallway to the rooms there was a musty Oder. There was an Oder in the room which reminded me of a urinal deodorizer. There were ants on the wall above the headboard on the bed and in the bed itself. I asked for another room and they were unable to accommodate me. I had to cancel the trip and drive home that night.

I completely fell in love with this hotel. It is tucked away in a sleepy neighborhood of San Jose away from all of the hussle-bussle of the big city. The property is beautiful and the rooms are quite cozy. I didn't want to leave on out check out day!

This excellent hotel, in a bit of an out of the way location, is an Oasis of calm in the South Silicon valley area. Quiet rooms (ask for a room on the first floor as in the upper floor you can hear
the air conditioning fans a bit). Great fitness rooms with new equipment. Great old fashioned feel with nice bar and restaurants (restaurants close early though - good food available in the bar late). This hotel has a resort feel. Location - plus is that it is away from major roads almost
no road noise. A plus for light sleepers. Location - minus, somewhat inconvenient location south of San Jose. OK commute to Santa Clara or Stevens Creek area of San Jose. Not much available to do close by though. Just a great hotel if you need to get away from the hectic pace and noise of South Silicon valley.
