The Dolce Hayes Mansion Hotel is a wonderful historic hotel with a load of modern/updated amenities. Two critical observations. First, its a little hard to find. The sprawling San Jose community has engulfed this hotel built in 1905. Second, finding dinning options "off premise" is not easy. That said, I found some real gems: High Five Pizza (good lunch option and sports bar) and Aqui Cal-Mex (excellent food and margarittas).

Very nice place, but horrible pillows and no cell phone service. If there is an event (wedding, etc.) parking is non existence. Parking should be given to paid guest staying at their hotel not to guest for a few hours. Couldn't find parking when we returned on Saturday evening and poles were put up to not enter parking area close to our room. Very inconvenient. Pool should be opened later on weekends. Would stay there again.

Over all, a great experience. The big downfall is the food service. Very slow, and very unattentive. Another negitive was how many young kids were there in the pool area and grounds. For such a upscale hotel it was very frustrsting with footballs flying in the pool and kids yelling. The hotel was beautiful and I would go again.
