We were going to stay 3 nights.....got up to our suite and immediately called down stairs and requested "one more night, please." Wonderful, wonderful place to stay. Very relaxing to enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail in your suite overlooking Central Park. Looking forward to staying once more.

We just love this hotel. You are treated like royalty. I love having a real person in the elevator to take you to your floor. The added security is really appreciated. The room was very clean, the bed extremely comfy. The bathroom is on the small size, but very well appointed with extras like Kiels lotions

This hotel is in a great location for access to the park, walking distance to excellent restaurants and subway access. It's on the Upper East side so not a short walk into downtown, but the neighborhood is great and if you're up for a walk, it's easy to get around. The hotel also offers a towncar service. Most of all, the hotel was quiet and the service excellent. Would stay here again.

We have stayed at the Carlyle Hotel in New York a number of times. Its always our first choice. It has a New York charm about it that can't be equaled. In addition to five star service and staff the lounge on the main floor is an excellent place to meet a friend, relax and read or enjoy tea service. When you are there you can imagine many decades ago people were enjoying this lounge which is beautifully preserved and appointed. Those people were celebrities, oil barons, politicians and other well respected people who chose the Carlyle as New York's finest. You might just bump into Woody Allen while you're there as he plays the clarinet in the bar usually on Monday nights. Its not a Nuvo style hotel. Its a beautifully preserved place in New York with an old money charm in about the best location you'd ever want to be. We've seen the same staff there for many years and that speaks highly of the employee morale at the hotel. Its always a great choice!
