This was our first time staying at the Monte Carlo. The good stuff - Our Monaco suite was very nice, roomy and comfortable. The hotel and casino were clean and in good condition. We enjoyed the pool area with the lazy river. The dealers and hotel staff were very nice. The not so good stuff - long lines to check in. The buffet is $17 or $18 and the food was bland. Totally not worth the price. Don't expect to win on the slots ( I stuck to craps and did very well) They charge a daily $20 resort fee for internet and fitness room. All in all a good trip. Would I stay there again? Maybe...unless I could find a better deal elsewhere.

It really is a nice hotel. Quieter than those with a very active casino. Has everything you need, along with a great location. The pools are very nice, although you need to get there early to get a chair! They also do not let you bring in ANY outside beverages or food - you cant even bring in your coffee that you bought at their Starbucks right outside of the door. BUMMER. They also add on daily resort fees to the room rate. I think it would be better to just add it to the room rate so as not to make you mad at check out! Ive stayed at the Monte Carlo three times, but next year I will look for a hotel without the Resort Fees as there are several just as nice without the extra fees.

The hotel was adequate for sleeping. The restaurants in the hotel were fantastic. This was my first time in Las Vegas so I have nothing to compare to. I liked the fact that it was close to shopping, other casinos. I did not care for the casino here. Not very winning friendly. Even the card tables were not winning friendly. The hotel was also quite noisy. Lots of parties.
