From the moment we arrived the hospitality was superb, it was service you expect at Hotels costing 3 times as much. The in house dinning weather in room or at the restaurant overlooking the lobby was in my opinion a 5 stars experience. I'll be traveling to Managua again and I'm looking forward to staying at Holiday Inn Managua Convention Center once again. I'm hoping their hospitality and service does not change. This hotel made me feel like I was still in the United States with an added tropical flair. Though my stay was short and I could not take advantage of all the amenity's, my wife and I did stroll the premises and were very pleased with the landscaping, the beautiful pool with its clear blue water and a gym with all the workout equipment you would need to stay fit. The rooms were very clean and ultra modern with flat screen TV's and daily room turn-down service. A definite plus is the free in room WiFi so you can still get your emails and stay in touch with family members abroad. Over all I would rate the Hotel a solid 4 star!

I chose this hotel because of internet in the room, which worked great. There was no free shuttle to the hotel and the taxi cost $* not the $* they told us over the phone. The handle to the shower was not attached. There was no food in the bar. So overall, basic accommodations, not the glamorous things you'd expect from a Holiday Inn at this cost. But for the internet (it was the only in room place I found in Managua) it was worth it. We had phoned to the front desk to let them know we had guests coming to pick us up. Our guests sat in the lobby for two hours before they were asked why they were there.

Love this hotel. Rooms are exactly the same as the Intercontinental MetroCentro, the lobby less ostentatious but very clean and comfortable. A very easy place if you like an American style hotel with no suprises. My wife feels right at home here, and she is otherwise totally off-balance in Nica because she does not speak spanish. Very safe, including at night. Internet can be expensive, but it is fast and reliable.

Beautiful rooms. I stay here frequently. Internet access in rooms is very PRICEY. Room rates very greatly. You really have to negociate to get the best rate. You might be surprised how much less the person next door is paying for their room!

Building is designed to surviive a large earthquake, with it's own emergency backup water and power facilities. Great security with lots of guards during the daytime, but everyone is gone at night except the front desk person who is waiting for you in a lobby with all of the lights turned out to save electricity.
