This is the second time i've stayed here and it is within easy walking distance of michigan ave, navy pier, lakefront path, the bean and grant park, fronterra grill, garrett's popcorn, and giordano's pizza. everything i love to do when i'm in chicago! the buffet breakfast prepares me well for my long walking days. the room was probably one of the cleanest i've ever stayed in and i've stayed at many 5-star hotels. awesome hotel with reasonable prices for what you get. even happy hour had hummus and pita chips :# the only #and i do mean only) downers are no outdoor pool and no free internet, but i can get internet on my phone and why would i lay at the pool when i could/should be enjoying the sites. highly recommend!

We had a very pleasant experience in Chicago that was toppped-off by a nice hotel stay. Extremely pleased and would chose to stay again at the Embassy Suite Hotel/Lakefront. The morning breakfast was great but arrive early and the manager's special was very generous.

The hotel was good for a family of 5. Having breakfast and a late afternoon snack was great! However, as other reviewers have said, there was a lot of waiting on lines. Another negative was that the internet was not free. I think the other Embassy Suites has a better location.

The rooms in this hotel are mini-suites. The room I stayed in had a living room area, a short hallway with kitchenette (sink, mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker), a large bathroom, and a bedroom with a door for added privacy/quiet. It had a good amount of space and was quite comfortable. The complementary breakfast was excellent, with many options available. The odd part was the hotel's layout. It had a large area in the center that was open on all floors. Almost all of the rooms opened onto the hallway around this area, although mine was in a small stub hallway to the side. All of the rooms had windows that looked out onto the hall from the living room. The windows had heavy wooden blinds that could be closed, but it was still a little strange. If you were with a group of other people staying in separate rooms, it would probably be very nice for socializing.

For someone with acrophobia (fear of heights and falling), a 17 story hotel with all floors open in the middle to the first floor, combined with glass elevators = a bad night. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was average. You have to pay for internet access, which was surprising/disappointing. The free breakfast buffet was very good. Parking was expensive, but it is Chicago.
