I stayed here a couple of months ago, and now my house is infested with bed bugs! I did not realize it at the time, but I was getting but while I was staying there. I thought it was a rash, but now I know it was bed bug bites. I know it was this hotel for I have not traveled since, plus the "rash" started then. I am out 5000 dollars right now from exterminator costs. Don't stay here it is not worth it

Easy walk to the french quarter, WWII museum, Arts District, Superdome. Right in the middle of it all. Room was small but clean and updated. Parking garage was full, so we used valet...big mistake. Got our car back the next morning with an empty tank and 100 miles more than when we left it. The valet service is outsourced to Central Parking, so I can't blame the hotel...but I'm still not sure who had more fun in NO, me or my car?

We had an early flight into New Orleans - we called around 9am to see if we could check in early and they said they had a room for us. Once we got to the hotel though, it had disappeared, and it took several hours for another king-size bed to pop up. They kept looking though, and even made themselves a little late to a meeting to try and find one for us. The hotel was originally an old bank, and they kept a number of those details, so it was unique in that aspect. The bed was soooooo comfortable! I was almost happy that it rained for a good part of our stay because it meant I got to lay there and not have to really feel guilty about it. Also, the staff was really nice. My boyfriend had refused to bring an umbrella with him, and while the front desk had run out of their stash, the man behind the desk was kind enough to offer his own umbrella for us to make a quick trip outside! They were also very accommodating to print out Hornets tickets that my boyfriend had bought online last minute. Whitney Wyndham is in a great location too, in the Central Business District - close to The Arena/Superdome and the French Quarter, we could walk to everything. They also say they have free internet, but for some reason we couldn't get the code to work on our computer so we had to rely on our cell phones.

Had a great experience here. Desk staff were pleasant and helpful. Room was much bigger than expected. Loved the proximity to Canal and the trolley. Late check out was greatly appreciated. Bed was comfortable. Would definitely come back.
