I guess I expected more from the photos and write-up on the hotel website. I was disappointed in this hotel. Probably the smallest room I've ever had in NYC with the furniture used and dated looking. There is no Hotel lobby to speak of with a very small and plainly furnished lounge area on the fourth floor. Not comfortable at all, I will never stay there again.

This was one of the cheaper hotels that I found on the online travel website considering the location to attractions, but it deserves the good ratings received so far. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The rooms were nice size considering being in NYC and were cleaned on a daily basis; my brother stayed in a ""nicer"" hotel, paid about the same as I did, but his room was basically a bed and a sink. This hotels rooms were decently big and had a supprisingly good sized bathroom. If your lucky enough to get a window view, the view is great, as the Empire State building is only two or three blocks away. The continental breakfast was actually very good although the dining area was always a little corwded, I would recommend getting your food and returning to your room. The location was also very good. The hotel is far enough from Time Square that you dont have to worry about lots of noise, but close enough that you only need a 3 to 5 minute ride on the subway. The best thing is that the subway is a short walk from the hotel, only about one block north right off of Broadway. Also, although there are a bunch of ""tourist trap"" shops right next to the hotel, they all close down around 7pm, so walking home late at night from the subway is usually peacful.

We have no complaints about this hotel. The staff was friendly. Believe me, we had plenty questions. The view of the Empire State Building was great from our room window. Checkin was easy. The hotel has been totally renovated. It is in the Flatiron district. The two (2) other people that traveled with me, agreed. We would definitely stay there again. We came back to Florida and suggested it to some people making plans to travel to NYC.

First time in new york for me and my son. The price was ok. It was a little bit of a walk to get to times square but not bad. There were allot of people in front and down a couple of blocks just ""hanging out"" but if you like to buy cheap knock-off perfume and purses there are about 4-5 blocks of that around the hotel. The continental breakfast room was way too small. The room was decent. The elevator was extremely slow. Next time I would probably stay closer to times square where the action is.

Smaller hotel. Recently renovated. Nice rooms, good service. Continental breakfast not very good, but OK. Location is on lower Broadway. Surrounding neighborhood is not great, but we felt safe. Near subway station at 28th street. Far from theatre district. Took awhile to get a cab. Used a private car service arranged by the concierge.
