the room was warm, tried several time to turn up the A/C and it wouldn't let me. it stayed on the 70 :( there was no refergirator in our room. Hotel carpet looked dirty. I will not stay on this hotel again.

Good downtown location. One block from River Walk in two directions. Easy walking access to Downtown activities. Historical hotel, has been upgraded. Rooms are still rather small as typical for older hotels, but clean and service was good. Valet parking is pretty expensive, but there is a public lot just across the street on the other side of the valet lot for about $9 instead of $28 per night.

This hotel is historic, that means old. The walls were very thin and normal amenities like a/c are retrofitted. We asked to be moved after the first night because it sounded like King Kong was ripping the steel light tower from the roof every five minutes. I don't know what else to liken that sound to. I think it was the elevator. Don't get a room near the elevator. It was uninhabitable. The showerhead was a joke. A cheap plastic hand held wand with no water pressure. The room we were moved to was much better, but still thin walls. We did not sleep well the entire time. Great vicinity to the riverwalk, but I would never stay in this hotel again. EAT AT LUKE!

I used the secret deals to get a night at this hotel. The stay was amazing and so good that I did not want to leave. I definitely recommend this hotel. The bed wa extremely comfortable, it was in a great location with several delicious restaurants and bars in the near vicinity.

once my room was chaged from the original noisy small back corner to a street view i enjoyed my stay. staff were helpful and availabe. elevators were quick.car parking charge was extravagant but the valets were pleasant. i would return.
