This hotel would be great for college students or people that don't care much about the room. The room we stayed in was not very clean, the bathroom had makeup on the bathroom door, and the doors needed a good wipe down. The grout in the shower was black from mold. The bathrooms were done very cheaply with ceramic tile. This lists as a 4 star hotel, and no way is this a 4 star hotel in any sense. It is maybe a 3, but on the lower end 3. The location is great, but we have stayed in nicer hotels for the same price. We were woken up at 1am by an unknown loud noise, like a jackhammer in the hallway type noise. We got up to figure it out and it was something in the plumbing for the toilet. We called the front desk and they sent somebody up an hour later and the noise had stopped. So we didn't get a great night sleep. The beds were horrible, you could feel the springs in the mattress. The pool was ok and the pool bathrooms were like going into a rest stop or park bathroom. Nothing nice about them.

1st priority: GET THE COMPLIMENTARY COUPON BOOKS! One when you check in for use at the Miracle Mile shops and one when you join the slot club. Food: lots of restaurants to choose from on the Miracle Mile. Buffet is to die for and deserves the ""best buffet"" designation by LV Review-Journal. Use the coupons and eat for less. Gaming: If you want $5 minimums, forget it. If you're lazy like me and don't want to trek all over looking for low minimums, there are low minimum machines in the casino - won * at video roulette that had minimums starting at 25 cents. There's also low minimum video black jack. Rooms: PH has props displayed from old movies and now-defunct TV shows. Ours was 'Space: Above and Beyond' (remember that show?) - kind of interesting, but also a little hokey. No refridge or mini-bar even when we asked. Missing cabinet doors/some lights not working, but bathroom was nicely appointed and room was quiet/clean. Location: great location on strip. If you're cheap like us (not willing to pay valet tips), be prepared for a nice hike to the parking structure - you need to go through the casino, then through half the Miracle Mile in order to get to the parking garage. Be prepared for a long wait at the traffic light to get onto LV blvd due to construction across the street at the new City Center. Staff: generally friendly except at the slot club counter. Decor: be prepared for lots of rock music and contemporary decor - mellower stuff in the AM (Crosby Stills and Nash, Beatles, etc), harder stuff as the day wears on (Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, etc.). Miss the old Desert Passage, but parts still remain if you look hard enough.

Planet was in the perfect location for my group of four, under 25. Casinos were in walking distance on both sides of the street In the bottom of the mall was the Miracle Mile shops, which we visited atleast once if not twice every day! The bathrooms were huge and we got a view of the Belaggio Fountain. The Concierge was awesome. I called them all the time and they were friendly every time.

Great, modern, sheik, hip, hotel, casino, restaurants, and shopping. Not much at all to complain about. Would definitely stay there again. The only minimal complaints that I had are that our room was on the west side of the hotel, the same side as the pool, which if you want to take a late afternoon nap in prep for your evening, doing so is difficult as the pool has blasting club music until 6pm daily. If this may be an issue for you it's best to request a room on the east side of the hotel. Also, the customer service staff weren't quite as friendly/accommodating as other hotels that I've stayed at such as MGM and the Westin. In all, this is a great hotel.

This was our first stay at Planet Hollywood and we would definitely stay again!! The casino was well decorated, smoky like all of them, but extremely clean. We booked our stay in a rush on travel website and when we checked in, we received more discounts, coupons etc. We stayed in the casino and also in the mall attached to the casino and we were extremely happy. The room was awesome, well decorated, comfortable bed, etc. The bathroom was beautiful!! We love the Planet and will visit again!!
