This was our first trip to NYC and we really liked the hotel. Hotel was very close to Madison Square Garden, Macy's Harold Square, Penn Station & the Empire State building. The rooms were nicely updated and clean. Great view of the Hudson River and reflections off Time Square. We would stay at the New Yorker again for sure! The staff was very nice and helpful as well.

Excellent, decently priced location, across from Madison Square Gardens, close to convention center, has a subway stop outside with direct line to Central Park and Greenwich Village, and a short walk to Times Square. Room was small but comfy, clean, modern, with an HD TV. Strong shower! A 24 diner (Tick Tock) and decent restaurant/bar (Coopers) are attached with a Starbucks across the street if you need non-diver coffee. Service was fully acceptable. We did the NYC Marathon and would stay here again.

This hotel is not worth the money. It's in a great location and has been renovated but still feels old and rundown. The rooms are small. The service left a lot to be desired. The worst part of our stay...we came back one night to find our room had been "cleaned" but someone had apparently used the bathroom and failed to flush.

Quaint old hotel built in the 1920's. Small rooms but didn't want to spend much time there anyway. Excellent location to subway. Within walking distance of many sites. Right next to Madison Sq Garden. Helpful staff members and concierge was knowledgeable of activities. Cabs right out the front door. They will arrange airport transportation if desired for not much more than a cab fare.

Enjoyed a 4th of July & three other days. Room was very clean and comfortable with good lightening, instant hot water, and excellent maid service. Prime location in mid-Manhatten with quick access to most attractions. Great in that 8th Ave. subway just across the street so one cane be in the theatre district in 15 minutes. TICK TOCK eatery is great, happy employees and good food at reasonable rates.
