My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and we'd never been to Hawaii or Waikiki before. Cons - Noisy: we heard the garbage truck dumping the dumpsters every morning and traffic almost all the time. Room: Some upgrades have been done but overall they're nothing special. It's tough to get a parking spot so reserve one in the parking garage. It's worth the cost. Pros - Great location 2 blocks from the beach, easy to walk to restaurants, stores, etc. No need for a car in town. Torch lighting and hula dancers in the evening on the beach. Really cool. Overall we spent very little time in our room. It's Oahu and there are so many great places to see! Would I stay there again...maybe, if it was a great deal and I only had a couple of days at the beach. Otherwise, I'd fly into Honolulu and then drive to the north shore and rent a condo for a week. Suggestions: Rent a compact car and explore the beach parks. Eat at Romy's on the north shore. Cheeseburger in Paradise (Waikiki)...great mahi sandwich. Have a cocktail or two at Duke's on the beach.

My boyfriend and I choose this hotel based on price, location and amenities and we were not disappointed. The room was clean, the shower was hot. Our room was small but comfortable. The free continental breakfast was a money saver plus we enjoyed meeting guests from all over the world. The staff was friendly and always helpful. The hotel is just a short walk to all of Waikiki's restaurants, shops and beach.
We always had a parking spot. Yes the trash trucks were noisy in the morning but our room was on the street side. We would definitely stay here again.

While several blocks off the beach, it is an easy walk. We parked a couple of blocks away each night for $8. You are rarely in your room when visiting HI, if you want to be real fussy, go spend an additional $400 a night somewhere else. I have been in both. The staff is competent but not in the price bracket to please beyond basics. If you are a happy person, you will get along great. If you are a complainer, you will undoubtedly find something to complain about. I will stay here again . I was concerned when I originally booked because it was so reasonable but a friend of mine who lives in Honolulu said its fine for a confortable sleep and a nap during the day etc.. If you have two legs and want to save some money-stay here-its ok. PS. They provide a muffin and fruit in morning with juice and coffe. Its enough to get you going.

Overall, it wasn't to bad. If you intend to relax in the room, find a better hotel. If you just want a place to sleep, then this is your place. The bathroom was tiny, as was the sink area outside of the toilet/shower. Said they upgraded the room for me, however, I think they downgraded me. Parking is 18 dollars a day, their room guide book states 14 dollars a day. ( They will not refund or give you 14 dollar rate) Overall, I wouldn't stay again. I'd spend the money on something better. Their breakfeast consists of orange juice, muffiins, coffee.

Great Location and a very reasonable price. Any hotel in front of the Canal is a good location. Easy walk to reach Waikiki Beach and shopping in the area. For a $10 upgrade we got a larger room with a view. Desk personnel were great. The so called breakfast was a joke but other than that, we were pleased with the hotel.
