On the second day of our stay, the light went out to our bathroom. Well, obviously we had to have this situation rectified, so we called front desk. They told us that someone would be up there right away. 4 hours went by and we called again. The front desk said that they were going to send someone again. As we waited, we were very frustrated that they promptness wasn't number one in their mind. Finally a man came to the door and changed the light bulb. Well, he didn't test it after because this wasn't the issue. So we had to call again and they sent up two guys this time. They said it was going to be awhile as they worked. Finally we couldn't hang out in the room any longer and went down stairs til they finished. After 6 hours since we first called them, they had it fixed. As we checked out of the hotel, the front desk lady asked "how was our stay?" I told her the whole story. Her reply was "Oh my gosh, please take these 2 free drink coupons for the inconvience!" My wife and I looked at each other, and just shook our head in disbelief. Apparently alcohol is the solution to an unorganized over-rated hotel.

Las Vegas has many hotel options. The Luxor should only be considered if and only if there are no hotel rooms available in Las Vegas. The room was dirty, we were without a tv for 3 days, the hot tub was not working and the hotel management was rude and not helpful at all. When we complained about the hot tub not working management told my husband and I we could use the hot tub at the outdoor pool. Very disapointing.

I was a little surprised upon checking in that there was no WI FI anywhere in the building, not even Starbucks. Frustrating. There was a cable to plug in and pay for use terminals but that didn't do my IPAD any good. There was a $26.00 a night motel down near Freemont STreet that advertised free WIFI. The rooms were clean and comfortable but the rugs needed shampooing and a few (very) minor details that were over looked. Meals and food was very expensive in the hotel. We paid $54.00 for a very modest breakfast for three incl. tip. $3.50 coffee and sodas. Really!!

Wished we could have stayed longer but we were lucky to get in on one day notice. Liked the hotel and food we had in shopping court in Irish restaurant was excellent. Would go back.
