First time at this hotel and was not convinced. Hotel room had a bulb that was out so the room was darker than in my comfort zone. But most importantly the bathroom door did NOT lock. When I called in for the concern, spoke to a manager named perry, said he would send someone up. nothing was done. I called back about an hour later to the front desk and someone else answered and said there were no notes about my room and bathroom door lock. Frustrated about the situation I wanted another room. This took another 45 minutes to get a response about another room, so I decided to stay in this room and unpack for the second time. No apologies were given to me nor a form of action to gain my content towards the hotel. Very upset with the customer service at the Luxor.

The Luxor wasn't just a Hotel. It is a city in itself, it had everything from pools, casino, bar's, restaurants for every taste, theater's, entertainment, and shopping. It is connected to Mandalay Bay and the Excalibur, both of which add to the excitement and the fantasy of anyone's vacation.

During my stay the room was OK, however the walls were so thin, I could hear everything my neighbor was saying. One night I woke to vomiting, and another night to yelling and screaming, breaking glass. The hotel was on the very north side of the strip which made cab rides expensive and walks in heels excruciating. The handle on the bathtub fell off and we had to have maintenance come to fix it which took an exceptional amount of time. I would not stay at the Luxor again

Outside of the room we stayed in it was dusty and old. This hotel really is not within walking distance to all the fun things that happen on the strip, it is more secluded. And there is no wireless internet you actually have to plug your computer in which limits your mobility.

  • Loved the Luxor!
