What I need in a room at a great price.

I stayed in the Pyramid. It was a basic room; 2 beds, bathroom with large shower in lieu of a tub, desk, table, wardrobe, dresser and a couple of chairs. Most of my in room time was spent on the internet (included in resort fee) and watching TV. If you are not spending a lot of time in your room, this will work. If you plan on partying or working a lot out of your room, you may need more amenities. You are at the end of the strip which makes it a longer walk to get to the rest of the strip. If you are in the pyramid, ask for a room near the elevators, if you are not near the elevators the walk can be very far.

The staff was very friendly and helpful

I had reservations for the basic room and was upgraded to a hot-tub suite! The room was amazingly quiet. And because of the design of the hotel and casino (the casino floor is enclosed) we never were exposed to cigarette smoke unless we chose to be. And we interacted with alot of different staff members, and they were all very friendly and helpful.
