To start off, this is my very first review over anything I've ever bought, ever stayed at, etc. The people on here bashing this place for "being the oldest in Cancun" or "the entire resort is open air so you never get to cool off" clearly need to invest their money in something else. This place was absolutely fantastic. The open air lobby gave a very wide open sense to the resort, giving myself and my new wife a "finally free" sort of feeling. The fact that it's the oldest resort in Cancun and still running should definitely say something for the resort. IT'S FANTASTIC! We stayed in one of the dolphin view/ocean view rooms and the views were absolutely perfect. The dolphins were expertly trained and very fun to watch. The room was definitely big enough, at least for us, and the room service/housekeeping was impeccable. They always had the room looking like new once we returned after an afternoon of beautiful beaches, drinks, and food. The food was to die for. There was a very very very wide selection of choices, anything from American to Asian cuisine, Seafood to BBQ. 4 All Inclusive restaurants helped out with the craving you desired, and if you decided not to head out, the 24 hour room service was the right way to go! Please, if you're looking for a great, experience ALL-INCLUSIVE resort, this one is the way to go. Unless your standards are so high that you cannot be pleased, then you will be more than happy with this one! There's a reason why this resort, even though the oldest, is still going strong! -Aaron

I have vacationed in cancun with my family about ten times. We normally stay at the moon palace which we find to be a nice resort. This time we wanted a change and thought Dreams looked like a nice place. Unfortunatly it is a very old resort. The lobbies are open air. The only air conditioners are in the rooms and these work poorly. You never get a chance to cool off. The food is below average and the choices are slim. The pool is tiny. I have seen larger pools on cruise ships. There is no reason to stay here. It's not even less expensive than resorts which are much better.I would tell everyone too try any other resort but this one. If you choose to stay at Dreams you will be disappointed!

Our vacation was good. Not great. But you always get what you pay for. I knew that at what I spent for myself, my wife, and toddler son I should not expect alot. I mean it's an all inclusive hotel. The oldest in Cancun actually ( I found out when I arrived). The beach and location were wonderful, but the food left something to be desired night after night. It was always ok, not great. The service was spotty, but you can expect that anywhere you go. Sometimes you have a terrific server and sometimes you don't. But overall I found the service to be poor. Because of the age of the resort and the fact that it hasn't been really renovated in quite a while Dreams does offer alot to do. Other resort stayers actually come to Dreams for the Dolphins and the glass bottom boat(Do not eat or drink before getting on. Trust me), the jet skies... . One thing I could not understand is why Dreams Cancun allows merchants to come into the resort and harrass guests. One of the worse were the cigar pedlers. I watch sucker after sucker get had by the story of "these are real Cubans"....NOT. and then to make it worse everywhere in the resort you go there will be another vendor telling you how the other guy is selling fakes. Guess what? They're all fakes. Don't buy the Cuban cigars! Oh. And if you value your vacation time and your leisure- Don't fall for the 90 minute presentation on how you can "own a piece of the resort/company'. They offer you $100 certificate to attend, but then harrass you into buying one of their vacation plans. I would pay an extra $100 of real money in order to not waste my time again. Enjoy the sun.
