From the moment Evan opened my car door to help me check in, the amazing staff of the Curtis went out of their way to be friendly, helpful, and professional. I travel extensively for work and have never encountered a hotel staff as committed to their guests' comfort. This hotel will be my go to for ever trip to the Denver metro from here forward!

Our family, (two youngsters, two adults) stayed at this lcoation @ Easter 2012 and were enchanted. Our last stay @ Thanksgiving 2012 was a totally different experience. I booked our stay well in advance and talked to hotel personnel several times before our arrival. I was never informed that there was no onsite parking. We were really dismayed after driving 6 hours to pull up to the hotel and learn that our only parking option was off-site and required valet services. Unacceptable and inconvenient as we anticipated access to our car at our leisure. The valet guy said, "yeah, it's been brutal." Next we found our room dirty. I mean thick dust on the lights, toilet paper holder, dirt and grime on the bathroom walls, large stains on the carpet, hair in the bathroom and a terrible moldy smell as well as a smoky, burnt meat smell we assumed came from the restaurant?? Initially, we thought we could live with it, but eventually asked to switch rooms which was a MILD improvement but @ 10 PM at night and two tired children we didn't have the energy to move to another hotel. In the end, we cancelled our next night's reservation and moved on...The only good thing I can say is that MJ at the front desk was very accomodating and did not charge us for parking which was a savings. She was polite and appeared concerned and that was appreciated. I don't know if this place has changed management or what but won't be returning to find out if they fix their game. Too bad, because it's a unique property in a good location.

  • Good price and location

The hotel was pretty good over all. Beds were very comfortable. No microwaves or refrigerators come with the room, but refrigerators can be rented or is free if needed for medical conditions (Insulin that needs refrigeration.) The closet is not a typical closet. It is more of a chifferobe with some storage cubicles inside and about 2 feet or less of space for hanging clothes. That was totally inadequate for 4 women staying over a week! We made do byt folding clothes instead of hanging them up. The bathroom has no tub or towel rack. The racks would have been handy so we could reuse our towels during the day if we needed to. The beds are very comfortable. One of our ladies fell into the shower around 4:00 AM. The hotel was great. Security came up right away and then called the paramedics. The parametics recommended that she go to the hospital as they suspected she might need further care. She did stay for severald ays. The hotel called the hospital for me to get an update on her condition. They cooperated with her husband so that he could take over our room after we left on Sunday. They seemed very concerned and handled everything very professionally. I would use the hotel again.

This hotel is the place you want to stay if you are going to the Denver Center and don't want to worry about driving. It takes less than a minute to walk across the street and you're at the box office! Two negatives: (1) it was a little noisy, but there was a youth conference the window did not have blackout drapes, only sheers. Granted, we were on the 9th floor and there was an even taller office building across the street to the east such that morning sun would never be a problem, but it was a little unnerving to be able to look across at office cubicles and realize there was only a sheer curtain between us.

  • A short stay...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a night while traveling through Denver. We usually stay at Crowne Plaza but decided to try something new this time. At check-in we were greeted and given warm cookies. They were so good! The hotel is decorated really well and each floor has a different theme. We stayed on the 13th floor. When the elevator reached 13, we hear "Here's Johnny!" through the speakers! Our room was decorated in a haunted theme and the bathroom was very spa-like and clean. Although we didn't spend much time in the room, we really enjoyed it and would recommend it.
