I was able to enjoy this hotel for one day and it was great! I was given a room in the Beach House and couldn't have been closer to the pool. I had a great lunch at the Beach bar and grill and they had a nice, small selection of beer. The pool is right on the beach - the water is so close! It has a great view of the barges coming in. The scheduled beach activities are over before 2 pm, so arrive early or stay a couple days to be able to sign up and enjoy the snorkeling or other activities. I was too late and was leaving too early to do so myself. The hotel is immediately off the public beach, so there is great beach walking opportunities right there. Next time I'll go for a run! That night, I enjoyed dinner at the Wreck Bar. The only concern was the lack of lighting (due to sea turtles) between the hotel and the beach house. It was a spooky walk to make by yourself at night.

This was our first time to Ft Lauderdale area, we usually stay in Orlando. Upon check in we were told that we were upgraded to a superior room. When we got to the room, it was dark and tiny. If you want a fridge or microwave that is extra fee. The view was terrible, was told it was partial ocean view, which meant the view was less than 10 %, could not open windows, no balcony. The beds were so uncomfortable........very small for 2 adults to sleep on comfortably. If we wanted WI FI, we were charged $9.95 per day, which we only used about half hour a day, because we were out and about for the entire day. The fee for parking is $20 a day, which is pathetic, this should all be included in the cost of the room.. Then at the beach, if you want an umbrella they charge you extra $10, if you need more than 2 chairs for the beach, that's additional also. We have stayed in a 5 star hotel in Orlando, Hilton Grand Vacations, it included full kitchen, king beds, wi fi ,parking, and pool activities at no extra charge. We really did love Ft Lauderdale area and will definitely. We must say that the front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful. We would consider coming back if all the extra charges we incurred were included in the hotel cost.

Only stay here if you get a deal on the price, nice place, but not worth the money they are asking, and there are deals to be found. Staff was fantastic, some of the buildings run down, some upgraded. Felt bad for the folks that had to cross A1A (although using the over the street walkway) to get to one of the 2 pools from the older Sheraton building. Plenty of food choices in the hotel, but more affordable elsewhere. If you want a place to hunker down, this is a great spot right on the beach, but buy yourself a cooler and some drinks at the local grocery. Beds were comfy, loved the fluffy pillows and sheets, rooms was very clean.

We arrived two days before our cruise and stayed 1 night after our cruise & they remembered us, from front desk to servers to bartenders! The room was clean, up-to-date, and service was outstanding! Seriously considering another vacation just to the hotel, it was AWESOME!

I stayed at this hotel many years ago but would definitely not stay there again. The hotel is in an excellent location but was very below par for a Sheraton Hotel. Check in was really poor with one check in desk open and a large line up of people waiting to check in. It took us over 45 minutes to check in and there were some really very unhappy customers waiting in the line up. The hotel nickel and dimes you for everything including parking @$21 per night and despite an upgraded room it was very poor and not really suitable for a family of 4. The main pool (not the beach pool) was far too warm (almost like a hot tub) and the surrounding area was very run down and not a pleasant experience. I would have rated this hotel at no more than 2 star at best. The only good thing is the location right on the beach but trying to cross the main road in a vehicle from the hotel lobby to the hotels car park is a life or death experience! Very dangerous and witnessed several vehicle near misses try to cross the road - something needs to be done to improve vehicle safety.
