The Doubletree Hotel definitely exceeded my expectations. The staff was friendly and were quick to tend to your needs. The room was clean and pleasant smelling upon arrival. Beds were comfortable with down pillows and a down blanket. Although I visited in the off season, I could see the roof deck pool from my window. It looks like a very nice area to kick back and relax, amongst the building tops. I would definitely suggest this hotel to a friend as I would stay at this hotel again myself.

Right off the Magnificent Mile, this hotel has a very helpful staff and allowed a very early check-in and late check-out. Room would have been average overall, and excellent for the price and location, except for the metal-framed bay windows which , alas, were far from airtight. There were significant air leaks into the room -- I mean a tangible flow of outside air as opposed to the coolness of the windows affecting the room's temperature. There were in fact more than one leak and the worst one was coming through the room's HVAC unit (mounted below the windows), so I couldn't plug it with paper, tape, etc. This was a real drawback given that outdoor temperatures were between zero and 10 degrees.

This hotel is okay. We stayed there for only 3 nights for a short trip to chicago. Upon arriving, we received a different room than what we booked. We had to wait to have a new room cleaned. The clean job was pathetic. There was hair on the floor and the bathroom tub was gross. It is over 40 bucks a day to have your car sit in the garage. I wouldn't stay again. Luckily we weren't in our hotel room a lot. It is a nice location though.
