The room We had smelled very bad, the pillows were hard and you can feel the springs on the mattress. When we asked if we can switch rooms the receptionist was rude she was the same one that checked us in and gave us attitude from the beginning! The new room was even worse the smell was so strong that we asked to be moved back to the previous one. We had a balcony whiched opened up to a wall, house keeping brought us musty towels and kept placing them on top of the dirty toilet! Worse experience ever, we are never staying there again... First and last time!!!

The location was perfect for a wedding at the Admiral Kidd Club; the shuttle service was VERY convenient since cabs aren't allowed on base! I'd recommend calling the hotel to let them know when you'll need the shuttle service a couple days in advance - Steve (the driver) was awesome, and volunteered to take us over there, but normally they're all booked up. Overall a good hotel, only issue we had was to have at least one more person at the front desk after 9pm to help (whether it be bell hop or otherwise) - it took a while to get to the front of the line (again) when we needed to ask for a parking permit since no one told us we needed one when we first checked in!

Drab room, not the cleanest. Upon looking at the pillowcases, 4 out of 5 were dirty. When I asked for new ones, the cleaning person was very rude when examining & replacing them. Never again....

This Holiday Inn was very clean and all the amenities made me feel at home.
03/27/2012All the staff were very kind and helpful, being i was new to the area. i would definitely stay at this hotel again upon my return to san diego. :)
