As I have come to expect in staying at a Hampton Inn, this hotel provided all the usual amenities complete with staff that seemed to go out of their way to assist their guests. Each morning when we set out on the day's journey, we were met by an enthusiastic staff member who asked us if we needed help finding the place we were heading. It was a little noisy inside due to it being right in the heart of the downtown, but they also provided earplugs to anyone who wanted them.

We were amazed at how beautiful and spacious our room was. We had a corner suite - a bedroom with two beds and a pull out couch - which actually turned out to be a mini apartment with a kitchen, full size refrigerator, dish washer, table and chairs for four, and a living room with couch and two chairs. Room was decorated very well, beds very comfortable. The only complaint I would have would be that Chicago Fire Station 1 was directly outside our room and we heard sirens all night. The hotel does provide free ear plugs if you want to use them. Personally, I was so tired from walking all day I went to sleep immediately and they never bothered me. Breakfast was good with a large selection. The location is excellent - we were able to walk to the Art Institue, Sears Tower, Hard Rock Cafe and the best pizza in the world - Lou Malnati's! And it's only 1/2 block walk to free trolley to navy pier.
