Our stay at this hotel was average at best. Upon arrival, we found that we had no water. No mention of the outage was given at check-in. We were without water for about 2 hours following our arrival, which was very inconvenient and made us late for our plans. The location is deceptive and much farther away from the area we thought we'd be in. The shuttle's schedule is inconvenient and we had to make 2 spendy cab rides back to the hotel. The noise level is high b/c of traffic and made it hard to rest. The elevators were "iffy" and we elected to take the stairs several times, even though we were on the 5th floor. Our second day, we arrived back at our room at around 6pm to find out that our room wasn't serviced. The staff arrived conveniently and only left us additional towels. The reason for this was "they hadn't had time to service our room yet." I find this hard to believe as our soiled linens were already taken out of our room. The bathroom could've used a little more cleaning on our arrival. On the plus side, when we ran out of toothpaste, it was provided to us at no charge.

It was not as close to downtown as I thought, but I had never been to Charleston, so I had nothing to go by. The hotel did offer a free shuttle service which was very nice. The breakfast was really good, even though it was extra - the view was nice while eating breakfast. The sweet tea was awesome and the staff was nice and friendly! I would stay there again!
