A reasonably convenient location is about the only positive thing I can say about this hotel. A presentable lobby quickly gives way to torn, dingy carpeting and wallpaper inthe hallways, and rooms that are no better. Yes, the rates are fairly low. However, it would be a crime to charge anything more for a venue that is all too clearly in need of a makeover. Street noise is a problem, but this is not terribly uncommon in that area. Skip the breakfast and find yourself a proper meal in any of the local restaurants or pubs.

Stayed here 6 nights the end of October. I selected this hotel mainly because of the location (1/2 block from Queensway with many restaurants, shops and 2 tube stations) and from reading other peoples' reviews. My room was small but it was all I needed: tiny bathroom, a comfy bed and everything looked clean. The staff was quite helpful and the free breakfast was more than enough. Ideal location: The Queensway area has everything you could need and most everything is open until near midnight, including pharmacies, dozens of restaurants, shopping, hair salons, even a shopping mall on one end with a Marks and Spencer. Hyde Park is 2 blocks away. The 2 tube stations are Queensway and Bayswater. I will definitely stay here again.
