I stayed here one night for a conference in DC. The room price was quite a bit lower than others in the area, so I didn't know what to expect. Thankfully, I was pleasantly surprised. My room was much larger than expected. It was closer to a suite than your standard city size room and very clean. It's a very nice old hotel in a good location. It was actually close enough to Union Station that I walked there from the train. I'd definitely stay there again.

We arrived at 11am to check our bags and go do some sightseeing. Despite being so early, they checked us into our room and even upgraded us to a deluxe room for no additional charge. The room was very nice and very clean. The bed was VERY comfortable! Yes, there was construction outside of our room, but we couldnt hear them at all, and the hotel provided earplugs for people who arent used to sleeping in a city (we're from Philadelphia, so no problem there!). The staff was very courteous and always helped us with bags, taxis, etc. I was very impressed.

I was in DC for a conference at a nearby large chain hotel, where the rooms were way more expensive. The Henley Park Hotel was clean and comfortable, and just a few blocks away -- a very easy walk. The room was a bit small -- but it was just what I needed. The large bathroom was a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, I faced an office building that blocked any view of the city, but I was mainly there to sleep at night anyway. I would stay here again. It's close to a lot of the museums and restaurants--a nice central location. Because it is older it has far more character than chain hotels, and is more economical, too.
