the staff was great, from the door man, check in people, to the manager in the restaurant that gladly gave me 2 bags of ice when requested for my wifes sore knees as we were in town for the marathon. The room was nice enough and clean, but a bit on the small side. Great location to canal street and the quarter, staff really make the place nice.

This was my first trip to New Orleans and it was on the tail end of a business trip. Just staying one night to experience a little taste of New Orleans. We made the reservations last minute, on-line while traveling and everything was as described. I would recommend that you fill out the Omni preferred guest online before you check in. It's a free service and you get a couple of good perks with it. This hotel is not in the French Quarter, but is only one block over and an easy walk to Burbon Street. My favorite part of the hotel was the bathroom! It was so unique and beautiful. The valet parking was expensive and not really a choice to not use. Maybe they should make it a part of the Omni preferred perks.

We had a great time at the Omni. The rooms were on the small side, but we were able to make it work. Sarah, the concierge, was very helpful and answered any questions we needed answered before the trip. Our travel friends forgot shaving cream and a razor and they brought them up right away. We also got extra pillows and towels, ASAP. It's a FANTASTIC location for accessibility to the French Quarter without being right in the French Quarter. Very quiet, tucked away street a short block from Canal and Bourbon. The only gripe I have is the shower. There is a glass shower "door" that only covers half of the shower. I saw this in some previous reviews and was thinking people were just complaining for no reason, but it really does make showering a challenge. It's difficult not to get water all over the floor when showering. 3 out of the 4 of us in our room were able to maneuver our bodies so that we didn't soak the floor during out shower, but it really made showering more of a job and therefore, much less pleasant. The other guest in our room just couldn't do it and soaked the floor each time. It's a bummer, because the hotel really is perfect, except for this. Although, it wouldn't deter me from staying there again. Overall, we had a great experience there. Very clean and modern and the service was great.

Used this hotel for my first trip to NOLA. It was ideally situated - 10 minutes walk to the convention center, 3 mins to Bourbon Street and the French Quarter. I walked around the area at all hours and found the streets to be safe and clean. I was impressed that they scrub and hose down the sidewalk regularly! The restaurant was good for grabing a bite and there's an awesome local joint across the street with delicious biscuits. As this was a work trip I did find the wireless in my room to be spotty and slow. The wireless in the restaurant was much better. Loved the fitness room - small but with an airy feel and glass walls overlooking the pool. The pool is just for dipping but that's all I needed to cool off. Staff were very accommodating but night time assistance is limited. If you're looking for a substantial meal or answers to questions after midnight its a bit difficult but the staff were always happy to oblige with any request. As a single female I felt safe both inside the hotel and out.

The pictures must have been taken when this place first opened. Our room was falling apart! It looks like they attempted to do the repairs themselves, but they did not know what they were doing. The wall paper is peeling off the wall, there are patch jobs that weren't sanded down and repainted, the marble sink is cracked and all of the pieces sides are barely hanging on, there are 2x8s holding the sink up, the shower has half of a door and no curtain (make sure you request extra towels!). The room said it came with a refrigerator, so when our drinks did not get cold after 4 hours we called the front desk and they said " it's a cooler, not a refrigerator, but for $30 a day we can put one in". The parking is valet only for an additional $30 a day! When we asked what made this hotel a 4 star, they only responded with I'm sorry what can we do to make it better. I have stayed in 2 star hotels that were a lot nicer than this one! Once you pay all of the additional fees, you could have stayed at a real 4 star hotel!
