I stayed there for a conference at the LA Convention Center. The official hotel was the Bonaventure, but it was much more expensive. At first I was disappointed with how far the hotel was from the convention center... it was a $* cab fare each way. But it was still a better value, the rooms were nice, and there were always taxi's out front waiting. Not much directly near the hotel other than Japanese and Chinese food. A very Asian block of LA. The hotel was clean, free wifi, nice bedding.

I was disappointed with this hotel. The bathroom walls and shower had black mold growing. The DSL did not work most of the time. The business center's printer did not work. The coffee maker made lukewarm coffee at best. There was no refrigerator in the room. Our magnetic room cards kept demagnetizing, so we would have to go to the front desk to have them re-magnetized. You have to pay an extra fee for parking. And unless you pay for valet parking, you do not have in and out privileges. The only saving graces were that it was close to the Little Tokyo Station, and the toilet seat was heated. Would not stay again..
