Just a few blocks from 2 subway stations and trendy Gramercy Park, this cozy, comfortable hotel feels very fresh and up-to-date with a tip to the refurb trend of boutique lodging. Would like to have had free WiFi, but forgave them as I slumbered soundly on my supremely comfy mattress festooned with an overabundance of crisp, clean linens. I will definitely return!

I loved this hotel! Very modern and clean, everything is new in the lobby and rooms. It was a great central location which saved time and money while getting around the big city. I couldn't have asked for a better trip! Three of us stayed in a standard room and suprisingly, we all slept comfortably even with the pop up bed added for the third person. The only thing was that the shower curtain blew into the shower constantly. They need a weighted curtain or another alternative. Room was small but most NY hotel rooms are. I would reccommend this hotel and would stay there again.

So my girlfriend and I showed up at 11 AM and they told us our room would be ready within an hour or two. Not until three o'clock were we able to get into our room. That kina ruined my first impression. Secondly we had two seperate issues with the hot water, there was none! They fixed it, but for having only been there two nights I was not impressed by this. No anemities (sp?), no pool, room was very very small, not used to that. Wi-fi cost $12 a night. Overall, if it weren't for the friendliness of the staff I would NOT have recommended this hotel. However, it is very close, 20 minutes walking from MSG and Empire state building. Lots of cool little eateries nearby. Bed was extremely nice and comfy. Its a little pricey but for being in Manhattan I suppose it isn't that bad. They really need to work on the details and little things but I would go there again.

Overall, this was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend the Marcel at Grammercy. I would definitely stay there again. The rooms are definitely New York small, but are clean and comfortable. The location is near Gramercy area wth easy access to both midtown, downtown, Soho, and anywhere you need to go. Be careful though: we booked a room for 3 people with our airfare, and were put into a small room, 1 double bed, and no room for a rolloway. They quickly moved us to a slightly larger room with a king bed and just enough room for a twin rollaway (no charge.) Lucky it was available and they were accomadating. I dont know if this was an error by the hotel, or the travel website. But it worked out.
