Old hotel which needs a make over. Paid for an upgrade I dread to think what the room without the upgrade was like. I wonder if you get the same room and the hotel gets the full rate for a basic room. Extractor fan in the bathroom did not work. Bed had a spring mattress which pinged evertime you moved. I would not stay there again.

walked into my room at this four star hotel, to find no air conditioning (with a fan instead), no safe, no free wifi, and MOLD on the wall. after immediate complaints, I was moved to a different room with air conditioning and no mold. the hotel smells like someone has been smoking there for decades. Rooms are barely acceptable, the shower had almost no pressure. the toilet was not sanitized. Basicallly, this hotel is only somewhat above the disgusting level. Although the lobby is nice looking. The only positive about the hotel is it's location, two blocks away from Buckingham Palace. It also shares the block with the Victoria Underground station so getting there is a breeze.

This hotel was located in a perfect central location in London connected to the Victoria station and the Double decker bus stop was right outside the front lobby door. The hotel was magnificent and a great value on top of it! Would stay here again and recommend it everyone!

My wife and I stayed for two nights, July 7th and 8th. The room was small, musty, and you could hear everything on the outside of hotel. The bathroom was awful, it was dirty and smelled. I can honestly say that the room was awful, but the service was even worse! We asked three people how to make a phone call from our room and no one knew. It took three calls for the desk to answer. The roof leaked when it rained, and they had cameras in the Lobby bathrooms (can?t believe its legal). No one would answer our questions, and stated they were too busy to take care of anything right now. If it wasn?t for the fact that we were already booked, I would have left and gone to another hotel. Oh and last but not least. I am sure you have heard the term, ""being nickeled and dimed"". Well they should put up a banner in this Hotel that states ""we will pound you here and pound you there"" because they charge for everything; Internet, water and bread in the restaurant with your meal. It was totally ridiculous. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL!

Hotel is in a very convenient location just adjacent to Victoria Station. Lots to do in the area. Area is fairly loud all night long. Traveled with my teenage daughter and booked the hotel weeks in advance. When we got there they said they were overbooked. We had booked a non-smoking room and they put us in a small, twin, smoking room that reaked of smoke. I called the desk and told them the room was unacceptable and not what we had booked. They tried to tell me there was not another room in the hotel available. I went down to the desk, told them the room was unacceptable, and asked that they find us another room in the area. (It was now 10 pm and we had traveled for 10 hrs from the US). Somehow??they were able to find us a room that was non-smoking and the type of room we originally booked. Other than that incident, it was an ok stay.
