Great, friendly staff, beautiful antique-style furnishings. Rooms are suites - comfortable bed and HD TV in bedroom, bath (large shower) minibar closets and safe, and a sitting area with hide-a-bed, HD TV and coffee table. Bedroom at back makes it very quiet, although there are only about 10 rooms on a floor so there is not much traffic anyway. Hotel is on left, heading north on Hornby. Just pull up in front and staff will unload (garage is valet only). The Avis checkin is in the previous block in the basement of the Fairmont (also on the left). Very convenient to Canada Place and a block east of the Burrard Skytrain station.

The boutique hotel is conveniently located to many downtown attractions and train station. The suite we stayed in was a bit smallish for 3 adults (1 full bed, 1 sofa bed) but not uncomfortably so. The room did have two 42"LCD TVs,a Keurig coffee maker and large shower stall (no tub). Other good things-friendly service, quiet street location, Aveda bath products, complimentary newspapers. There is a $8.95 charge for internet but you can overcome that by going to the Starbucks across the street.

The hotel was very upscale and the staff were very helpful and courteous. The only issue I had is there is no parking and you will have to pay $25/day to use their valet parking. I just parked at a public parking across the street and paid $10/day.

We stayed for 2 nights before taking an Alaskan cruise. We decided on a small hotel rather than a large, chain hotel. We were not disappointed. The room was fabulous - nice spaces and elegant furnishings. The front-desk and curb-side personnel were friendly and helpful. And the concierge went out of his way to offer excellent guidance. We also found 3 excellent restaurants and 2 coffee shops close-by. If we get the opportunity to return to Vancouver, we'll definitely stay here again.
