location is horrible to walk to and from at nightime; room was kind of dirty; breakfast was not a breakfast at all (coffee and bagged pastries); parking lot really small. good place for frat drunk guys partying (except for the fact that police always ended up called at 2 am); not good for family/kids.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The continental breakfast was decent. During our stay a few people attempted to have a pretty noisy party in the hotel, which isn't very big, so everyone could hear their loud music and yelling. The staff was very quick to remove those people from the premise. One negative was that on Friday and Saturday nights the parking was very limited! You almost didn't want to leave your parking space, and its a little too far to walk to the main strip. But for the price we thought it was worth it.

We came to this Days inn for it's location and it's rate - It's only a mile to the Convention Center. But we were so pleasantly surprised that this place is "loaded" - Not only it's clean and pleasingly decored, it has microwave, fridge, and in-room safe! With the convenient store only a few steps away, we could get TV dinner, and even fresh fruit without having to go out to dinner every night. What a luxury when you travel on the road! The in-house guest laundry is also a plus. The front office staff are very personal, not like the large hotels. They are courteous and very accommodating with directons and attractions. Oh, with the parking (in downtown San DIego, it's a rarety) and high-speed internet, I think we found a nitch in San Diego! !

Saw some of the poor reviews for this property AFTER I booked my reservation, so I was worried. Before checking in, I figured I would check out some of the nearby hotels to compare, and I was favorably impressed with the Days Inn. I have stayed at Days Inn hotels all over, and this one was at the upper end of the scale. Comfortable bed and room, very helpful front desk guy. Not sure what these other reviewers were expecting, but this was a good value for me. I would definitely stay again on my next trip.
