Upon checking in, I received a room that smelled awful. I tried to turn on the air conditioner and it did not work. The front desk said to wait for a maintenance man but I insisted on a different room. I asked if there was a free breakfast in the morning and was told only there is a restaurant. (there was a free breakfast buffet but I was not aware of it). Will never go back to this place.!!!!

My second night there, the hotel internet failed. It was unbelievably slow, and connections were frequently reset. This is a disaster for me, as I cannot support my clients without a functional internet. I notified the staff, who said they'd send maintenance. Nothing got better. My second complaint had the desk hanging up on me. No, I was not rude. I tried lodging a complaint with Quality Inns itself. No response until after I checked out. A third call to the desk had them routing me to their inside provider, who said that their side was working, but something was clearly wrong. They said they'd follow up. By the time I checked out, the network still wasn't working, and this is 5 days later. I understand that things can quit working, but the staff's response borders on unforgivable. I will NOT be staying in this hotel again. Period. They finally called me after I'd checked into another hotel. The manager was very apologetic, but didn't do anything other than beg me to try them again. Sorry. I realize this is Canada, but this is also the 21st century, and service is your product. You didn't meet your 72 hour deadline, and you really didn't offer anything to compensate for your failure. No, I do not want to stay in your hotel again.

There was something fun about this "airport hotel". I think it was the vibe of the travel groups who used it and the local nightlife - even though in a "strip"neighborhood. We stayed during the World Cup and watched the games while eating comfort food - kobe meatloaf - in a nearby sports bar. It was a good stay.
