We stayed here when we went to Summerfest, an awsome Milwaukee event. The hotel was beautiful - very historic and in a great location. We could walk to the lakefront to enjoy Summerfest shows.

Hall noise near elevator got in easily to my room as there was much light coming in around the jam. The drunks that came to their room next to me at 1:20 a.m. and kept me up until 2:30 a.m. when the bars let out and the college kids started screaming in the street. At that point I finally called the front desk for ear plugs. Food during the day was underwhelming so I went elsewhere for dinner. Spa experience was nice, as was my escort to my room. Lobby & upper balcony are gorgeous. Pianist in the lobby was great. Bed was mushy. I had read a review about noise problems, but thought it could just have been because it was near a ballroom. Obviously not. I'll go elsewhere next time. Oh, and toilet leaked water every time it was flushed....

The Pfister is a beautiful old hotel and the concierge serves first class, but the room we stayed in had noises in the old pipes in the walls and kept us up all night. If you like ambiance then great, but don't expect any sleep

From the welcoming grand lobby to the deluxe, comfortable rooms every need was met. Very quiet, wide hallways make for a good night's sleep inside your well-appointed room. Be sure to enjoy a cocktail in front of the fireplace in the lobby piano bar. We were there Thanksgiving weekend and witnessed the transformation of the hotel to a Holiday wonderland literally overnight. Can't wait to go back.

I've always wanted to stay in the grand, old Pfister Hotel when I was living in Wisconsin but the cards (metaphorical and credit) weren't right. A splurge over the Thanksgiving holiday was not a bit disappointing. Just wish we could have stayed longer.
