The hotel itself is very conveniently located, in good shape, and clean. The staff was friendly. The only real issue we had was when we requested an extra blanket. We called the front desk and were told that one would be brought to us right away. However, it was over 45 minutes before one was delivered.

As a family with three kids ages 8, 10, and 12, we no longer can stay comfortably in a "typical" room, so the Hilton Suites was the perfect solution. Their suites were roomy and well laid out so that we had the extra room we need. The living area had a nice bar area with sink, microwave and refrigerator, along with a comfortable couch and chair, desk and big screen tv. The bedroom had two comfortable queen beds, a dressing area, desk, and another big screen tv. The bathroom had a door to both the bedroom and out to the living room. It was perfect for our family. We didn't spend a lot of time in the hotel as we were out seeing the sights of Chicago, but when we were in the room, it was very comfortable, and we were able to spread out and relax. The location is literally right around the corner from the John Hancock center, the American Girl Place, and a great starting point to start walking down Michigan Avenue. Bus #146, which takes you down to Adler Planetarium/Shedd/Field Museum came right by the hotel, making for an easy bus ride on the days we didn't want to walk so much. The only downside? The pull out couch wasn't terribly comfortable - but it WAS a pull-out so we sort of expected that. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel! Also, we didn't want to pay for internet, so my husband brought his own wifi device so that wasn't really an issue.
Nice and centrally located to everything on the mile:)06/06/2012

Down side something was left behind on our trip and they couldn't get to the room fast enough to see if it was there. Overall the staff was very curtious and friendly. Wish they would have responded to my call faster to find this item. Now its going to cost me close to a hundred dollars to replace. However it is also my fault for leaving it behind. We would definatly stay again for the right price:)
