I stayed at Bill's four years ago when it was still Barbary Coast. I enjoyed it then, the price was right and the location can't be beat. However, this time was different. They claim the rooms were updated when the hotel changed names, but I couldn't see it. The rooms just seemed tired and old. The towels and linens were worn and had holes in them. The plumbing was awful. Other than one bellman, the staff seemed very indifferent and unconcerned, as if they didn't want to be bothered with requests or questions. I was extremely disappointed and won't stay here again.

Loved the convienence of being right in the middle of the strip.Check in was fast. Rooms were very clean and pillowtop bed was very comfy. Enjoyed the $* margaritas in the lobby bar and the $* steak, eggs, toast, and hashbrowns from midnight to 8 in the morning at the bills steakhouse next to the lobby. ( there is also a $* burger and fries next door at the Flamingo burger joint from midnight to 6am ) Loved that we got use the Flamingo pool also! Room service was very fast. Would for sure stay there again! My one and only complaint was that half way htrough our trip our toilet slowed and seemed like it was going to overflow every time, but thankfully did not.

For a great price you get a prime location and a clean room. The hotel is small. So walks from the parking lot to the room or room to strip are short. Check in/out times are short. What more can you ask for from a budget hotel? The victorian room is a favorite spot to grab graveyard specials (* steak and eggs!). Drai's is THE after hours party in Vegas. How convenient to walk right up to your room afterward? You get access to the flamingo pool which is a fun, family pool. Everything is within walking distance.

My hotel stay at Bill's was satisfactory to bad. I would say in considering this place, you get what you pay for. So as long as you don't go in with the expectation of staying at a "nice hotel" like the Bellagio or Venetian, you won't be disappointed. My main issue with this hotel was that on the first night, my shower water did not drain. By the end of my shower, the tub was filled with water nearly up to my knees. I thought the water would eventually drain on its own, but by the next morning, the water was still there....and at the same level. Also, the towels left lint all over my body and face. So I had to call housekeeping and both problems were resolved. The following night, I decided to close my bathroom door (the one leading into the shower and toilet area) b/c of the noise (yes, you can hear EVERYTHING on the street and in the hallway, so you might need to leave the TV on to sleep). Of course when I tried to open the door later, I found that I was locked out! So I had to call for someone to come up at 3 AM to let me into my bathroom! The problem was resolved, and the technician basically said the locks are funny b/c they sometimes hit the wall when you open the door and stay in the locked position. And then on my last night.....*sigh*....I asked for housekeeping to clean my room. When I decided to go to sleep and pulled back my covers, there were bloodstains on my sheets. By then it was around 2:30 AM, so I just decided to avoid that area. So it was an okay/bad hotel stay, so I wouldn't recommend it.

Bill's isn't a megaresort. Check in was easy and fast, there's cheap drinks and an entertaining lounge act, and it has one of the best locations ont the strip. The room was clean, however the toilet occasionally ran after flushing. Just a "jiggle the handle" issue, nothing to get worked up over. I found the staff to be friendly, without exception. I didn't eat there, other than to grab an iced coffee on my way out of the north entrance, so I'm not able to comment on the dining options. I would certainly recommend this place to a low maintenance traveller who just wants a clean, comfortable, place to rest while exploring Vegas.
