What makes a good hotel excellent is attention to detail. The Hyatt Madeleine is a truly excellent hotel. This hotel has a superb staff who appear to enjoy their jobs and are focused on providing a good, personal experience for their guests. The decor is beautifully done; most impressive is the efficient use of space, this is a smaller hotel but the attention to every detail is impressive. The lobby/restaurant is smaller but elegant and comfortable. We stayed two nights on the second floor in a room that had a wonderful view and very high ceilings. The quality of everything was first rate and again the design and use of space was impressive. The room service and restaurant menu is somewhat limited, but we had no difficulty finding something we liked and were very happy with the quality of the food that we ordered. We called and got information on some of the dishes and the response from the kitchen was quick and pleasant. We found it to be a great location to walk out the door and find shopping and dining within a 10 minute walk. The metro is only a few minutes away. I was very impressed that the room was so quiet given the proximity to the street. We will definitely recommend to friends and family. We did find the internet service in our room to be usable but slow (both wired and wireless) but there was a note in the room that an upgrade is in process and that this issue will be resolved by May, 2012. We split our stay in Paris and spent several nights at a different 5 star hotel. We were disappointed by the other 5 star hotel (which was larger and has a "higher rating") because we found that hotel smelled of smoke and the service average. We were very pleased in our stay at the Hyatt Madeline and we plan on returning again. A very heartfelt thank you to the superb staff at the Hyatt Madeline for a wonderful visit to Paris!

My wife and I went to Paris and it was my first time, and it was nothing as I would have imagined. The staff of the place were outstanding, and couldn't have been more accommodating or helpful. The only thing that I we were disappointed with was the hard bed, that was very uncomfortable. This has been a one time experience with Hyatt Hotels. We will definitely stay there again, when we go back to Paris without a shadow of a doubt.
