This is a very good 3 star hotel, but it simply is not 4 star. The parking is awkward and there is no valet. The front desk seemed to find it amusing that I was frustrated with the parking situation and apparently decided that it would be funny to explain as little as possible to make me even more annoyed with them. The AC unit in the room is one of those either freezing or completely turned off numbers. The room feels pretty barren. The furniture is pretty hodge podge. When I first walked into the room is smelled odd. The closet especially smells odd. The bathroom is VERY cramped. The linens seem pretty nice, as do the towels. There are plenty of lamps, but they are a little cheap and the sconces are not wired into the wall which just makes it worse. The bedside tables are nice quality but they are an odd height, round and comically large. Over all my room is just not terribly comfortable or relaxing and the bottom line is that I think the star rating should be reduced.

Our hotel stay was very good. The hotel was updated, clean, comfy and enjoyable. The location was probably the best part. Right off of a major highway, malls and area with lots of restaurant selections. It was super easy to get around to all the hot spots of the city by getting on the highway. There was plenty of parking around the hotel, so no need to worry about where to put a car. The down side to the hotel was that it was noisy, we could hear doors opening and closing and the elevator doors opening and closing through out our stay. Also no free wi fi which was kinda a bummer. The pool was being worked on so we were unable to use it.

The staff at the front desk, the Bellman and the restaurant wait staff was very nice! But they charged me for two bottles of water that was sitting with the complimentary coffee! No sign or price on them so one would assume it was complimentary! Guess again! The hotel inside was clean; however, the bathroom in our room had the tank of toilet leaning against the wall, the wallpaper was coming apart at the seams, the paint was chipping and the door of the bathroom only had less than half of an inch to clear the toilet. The bathroom was very, very small and hot, no ventilation! The guests were extremely loud and you hear slamming of doors all hours of the night! No respect for other guests! The hotel is next to the highway and not in a great area... you would think it would be as it was near the Galleria but there was a syringe in the parking lot next to our car when we got out so what does that tell you about the area? Two other guests had their two cars broken into the night before we arrived! In addition, the elevators are soooooooooo slow! No free Wi-Fi here, it is $7.95 and the pool is under construction! Would never recommend this ghetto hotel!

We stayed 2 nights and it was very noisy for both nights. We were booked in a room on the 3rd floor, and at 12:00 at night, we heard very clearly people slamming doors around every other minute, really loud tv, and all the sound from the parking lot and pool area. I called the front desk and requested for a room change, which the staff was extremely courteous and gave us a room on the 14th floor. However, we could still hear all the conversation happening next door. Maybe there was an event, but I think the rooms of the hotel could have been sound proofed better. Next time in Dallas, I will stay at another hotel. There was also a long wait at the elevators because there's only 3 elevators to service the 16 floor building full of guests.

We checked in late (12am) and was glad to receive a very clean & very comfortable room. We stayed for 2 nights. We did not get a chance to take advantage of the breakfast in the morning but everything else was great! Hotel was in excellent shape. I would stay again & would recommend this hotel to others.
