I've stayed in pretty much every LAX hotel, and this gave me the best combination of quality and price. Clean, modern, tasteful, quiet (quadruple panes of glass in the windows) comfortable, very near the airport (you could walk there if you had to), and very reasonably priced. I'll be staying there again if the price stays the same.

This hotel was conviently located near the airport. Rooms were average at an average price. We ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel restaurant. The food was pretty good. Would have been nice if the hotel offered a drop off/pick up service to 5-6 restaurants nearby. We heard from other travelers that one of the other hotels offered that service for free. Overall it was a good value.

Our issues seemed to be communication related. It took us five times around the block and asking two hotel employees to find out that the only parking they have is valet parking. This is inconvenient and hard to conclude from the signs. Not only that, the employees just shrugged when we asked where to park. It was only after we valet parked and read the info in the rooms, that I learned that was the only way to park. The beds were comfortable, the rooms clean and a nice size. Also there was a half wall between the desk and the beds that allowed one person to work while another slept. The only problem with the room was that the pipes sang. When the water was turned on, the plumbing made noise that woke me up several times during the night. We had issues with one of the key cards not working. Took three times to fix. The onsite restaurant was expensive, but the food good. We didn't get our car out of hock to go anywhere else to eat. It wasn't convenient. The 24/7 airport shuttle was needed and convenient.

The room was nice and quiet considering it was right next to the airport. It was comfortable, the beds were comfortable. A nice thing was that there was a partial wall separating the beds from the study/work area. However, the hot water faucet in our sink and some of the other sinks sang when they were turned on. This woke me up more than once because people used their sinks in the middle of the night. It wasn't annoying until you tried to sleep.. One of our key cards didn't work right. They had to try two times to fix it. I think it had a bad magnetic strip. There was an onsite restaurant and the food was good, but pricey. In fact, everything in California seemed pricey. Gas jumped almost a dollar a gallon as soon as we crossed the state line. Food went up considerably too. Considering that, the room rate was pretty good, but it was the highest we paid going all the way across country. Loved that fact that there was shuttle service every 15 minutes round the clock. The shuttle driver wasn't that polite, but that's not a reflection on the motel. My biggest gripe was parking. When I couldn't figure out where to park after 3 trips around the block, I asked about parking. The hotel employees looked confused when I asked where to park. I went around the block a few more times looking for the place to park. They didn't tell me that there was no onsite parking and everyone was forced to valet park. I wanted to use the car again that day, but they I'd have to have someone go get it... Also, I had no clue where to go if I wanted to retrieve something from the car.
