I traveled with my husband and teenage son and requested 2 beds. They didn't have 2 beds so I was given a king plus fold out couch. Unfortunately, the room didn't actually have a couch so we had to squeeze a roll away bed in a tight space. Unfortunately, the hot water didn't work until I turned it on under the sink and the Maintenance man had to come fix the shower. Unfortunately, WiFi is sporadic so don't plan on accomplishing any work. Lastly, although the little patio is a nice feature, it's not so nice when your "neighbors" come back at 3am and decide to party outside. The second night the neighbors got into a heated argument, ready to pound down the door. I had to phone the front desk who sent security. This really didn't go as smoothly as it could have. I must say that the location is ideal with proximity to tourist sites and the beautiful bay.

We just returned from a stay at this hotel and I can say that it is definitely a good bargain and great place to stay. It is located close to many of the San Diego hot spots but yet is quietly removed from all the crowds. You can walk along the bay on the beachfront sidewalk right across the quiet street in front of the hotel. The hotel restaurant is super plus there are reasonably priced restaurants within five minutes. A jazz club right down the road has nightly concerts - we listened to Diana Ross one evening sitting on the beach (with other locals) and then walked back to the quiet of our room. Mornings you can have a cup of coffee while watching Navy ships and fishing boats sail towards the ocean. Take a drive to nearby Point Loma to watch the sunset on the Pacific. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Parking for your car right is close to the door. No complaints at all. Friendly staff. You will not go wrong with this choice.

I lived in north sd county most of my life, took my fiance from vegas to sd and was very happy with this hotel. The location was great and the dude at the front let me change my room when i checked in so we could get a outside patio. the only bad part was that we had to drive to a beach that we could surf at.

Last year we had such a great experience from the time we checked in (great front desk) to the morning we left (recommend the breafast at their restaurant). Close to water and evening walks or dinning. This is our second time and I'm sure next year will be our 3rd. The only thing that would make it better since they don't offer a FREE breakfast is to give a coupon for something off at their restaurant. P.S. LOVE the free airport shuttle too.
