I love this hotel! It appears to be a primarily business hotel; but when we first stayed there 2-3 summers ago, we chose it because it was downtown and they allowed dogs! Don't know if they still do, but we have stayed 4 times since then (without the pooch) and we really enjoy the location.

The room was a little small but it was clean and nice. Didn't have safe for valuables. 40" flat screen TV but it didn't look like they have HD cable. Wifi is not free. The best thing about this hotel is the location. It is close to the Harbor, Aquarium, Faneuil Hall & Quincy Market, less than 5 minute walk to downtown crossing & Boston Common ten minutes to Chinatown. Subway is a few blocks away but if you dont feel like walking taxis are often waiting outside the building. Otherwise you can always tell the staff to call one for you.

Everything about the hotel, the staff and the location were terrific. Unfortunately it happened that on both nights of our stay we had an emergency fire evacuation after midnight. I guess this would not have been an issue if we had not been on the 15th floor, if i did not wear a brace on my leg and that we did not have a 70 year old women with us. If i were to stay again i would definitly ask for a room on a lower level. This has never been an issue in the past so it just never occured to me. If it had not been for this issue i would say this was an excellent hotel.

I was extremely unhappy with this hotel. It was my first trip to Boston so I was unfamiliar with local fav hotels so I chose a Hilton Hotel based on its reputation. How could I go wrong right?? Well to my shock I was dissapointed upon arrival. When I entered my room the first thing I noticed was a large hole in the wall behind the door from previous guests opening tbe door too hard. Afraid of being charged for the damage I promtply called the front desk to report it and ask for a new room when i received the response "is the room able to be slept in"...needless to say I was not moved to a new room. I would like to be able to say it ended there....wrong again. While settling into the room I found a used dental floss/tooth pick combo beside the bed. Sick! To top things off there were half empty, used bottles of shampoo/cond/shower gel on the brim of the shower leading me to believe it was never even cleaned before my stay. I also thought the entire time the room felt damp. Couldnt quit pinpoint that one. I guess the location is nice, I was able to walk to most attractions or to near by public transportation, however the pure disgust from the room could not make up for that. Nor the fact I was not given a new room. Just as a note, the hotel bar/lounge closes at 10pm....yikes! A bit early. There are several cute Irish bars in walking distance including an authentic one that doesnt have any tv's! There is also no free breakfast but is within walking distance to a Panera! I would not (and have not) recommended this hotel to anyone.
