Upon arrival, the grounds looked very lush and well kept.Check in was a breeze and Rich at the front desk was extremely helpful and accommodating. The room we were given 1st, had a pocket door to the bathroom that was off track. An engineer was sent out right away to see if it was repairable. It was not, so we were given another room. The size of the shower/tub room was pretty small.I have 2 girls to bathe and we barely had room to move around in there. Also, the shower curtain was set too high so it let a lot of water out into the sink/vanity area.I wondered how the base boards got so water damaged. The room door when closed properly, didn't line up with the dead bolt so you had to pull the door back into the room in order to lock it.

  • Relaxing, beautiful greenery !

A special thank you to Juliet the front office Manager in the evenings and to Tom the day front office manager, as well as all of the staff for the memories we will cherish forever. My wife and I have had the pleasure of staying at some of the finest hotels in Southern California and the memories we hold the closest are those of the people at the resorts as much as the resorts themselves. At Paridise Point we were treated more like family than as guests. You know when someone goes above and beyond their job description and treats you like they would want to be treated, those who provide you random acts of kindness not as part of their jobs but because they want too.The resort is one of a kind for Southern California. You get the feel that you are truly worlds away from whatever it is you need a break from. You feel as if you are in Paradise, because they have everything you will need on the resort grounds. Our only advice is take the time to take in all they offer. Thanks again, to all who were responsible for a time we will cherish for a lifetime.

This lush resort is a quiet respite in San Diego. Located on an island it shares with a public park. Quick access to Mission Beach, Sea World, and only minutes from Old Town! The mature, tropical gardens are gorgeous, and the single-level bungalow-style rooms provide lots of privacy and peace! The staff are so helpful; and the meeting facilities are top notch. The sweet potato fries at the lounge had me coming back for more! An oasis in San Diego!

Parking is $32 a day. You have to pay $17 a day for a passport to paradise that you might not even use. The rooms aren't anything special, you might as well be staying at just a regular old hotel. On top of your parking and your passport to paradise, you also have to pay room tax (after you've already paid anyways) and a tourism market assessment tax. The internet isn't free (it's part of your $17/day fee that you HAVE to pay). There's no free breakfast. They even charge you $4 for drinking the bottled water they put in your room. The money you spend on this place isn't worth it.
