My fiancé and I stayed in the Rush Tower on the 10th floor during our 5 night stay in Las Vegas. The hotel room was amazing! It was updated and trendy, I loved it. The bathroom had his and hers sinks, a deep tub with great shower, and the toilet was even separated in another room. It was worth upgrading to! The pool next to the shark tank was great to swim in, it even had a water slide that went right through the tank. We also received a discount book for staying there. The hotel was clean and I was very relaxed. I liked staying downtown rather than on the strip because the drinks/food was cheaper, free entertainment every night, and it was just a more relaxed feel. Only downsides were no microwave or fridge, no hair dryer, and it cost $10.00 to use the coffee maker. Only if you upgrade to a suite does these amenities become included with the room in any hotel in Las Vegas. I had one of the best times of my life in that city and I would definitely tell anyone to stay in the Rush Tower at the Golden Nugget.

First night I was stuck in a smoking room. Being a non-smoker it was like being hit in the face with smoke everytime I opened the room door.Moved to a non-smoking room night 2 but the room was similar to a local holliday inn. Not impressed. I felt like the staff tried to help but the bottom line was I did not enjoy my stay. Flight back left us stranded in Denver for an additional day. Not Good for work! That pretty much sums it up.

Hotel was very busy. We came at 11:00 pm the room for our friends wasn't ready they had to wait for 35 min until the cleaning lady would finish cleaning their room. We got smoking room and we do not smoke. We called and told them that we have requested non smoking room and we have been told that all rooms are sold out and there is nothing to offer. My husband developed a headache and I developed allergy right away from the smell. We had to go back to check in and fight for non smoking room. They did give it to us and we finally got to our room. The pool area is very small and crowded. We had to wake up at 7:00 am to get a chair at the pool. We didn't like this hotel and wouldn't recommend this hotel to our friends.

I enjoyed staying here, because we stayed midweek we got a free upgrade and check in was easy and services was great. I do think the upper pool fee during the day is excessive and could be just closed to children or anyone under 21 as the lower pool was quite busy with families. Food at the cafe was a bit over priced expecially when told how poor it was and the response was "oh sorry"
