There was alot to see and do in the hotel besides gambling. Several ways to get to Freemont street. The restaurants were very well setup and had excellent food! I especially enjoyed the pool with the large fish take to watch while you laid in the sun.

We have never stayed downtown and will certainly make a return trip to this hote

the best on fremont street
04/04/2013The only issue was the plumbing. the tub would overfill w/water then it would go away. it was annoying. other than that it was good.

We were disappointed in our stay at the Golden Nugget last weekend. On an ordinary Thursday night there was NO PARKING left in their parking garage. The valets just turned me away, saying "we're full." I asked "where am I supposed to park?" and they said "Find an open lot somewhere." So I found one 3 blocks away that had gate attendants that happened to let me park there for free after trying to explain my situation. It was fairly sketchy in the morning when I walked over to retrieve my car, what with the cracked out street people wandering the sidewalks. Then there was the nightly outdoor concert on Fremont Street, which played loudly until midnight. Our room was on the 19th floor, which seemed like it might be above the noise radius. Nope. Don't expect to get sleep in this hotel before midnight. Also, $14/day for wifi. No thanks. All this to stay downtown instead of on the strip? Why bother?

A lot of walking but amazing bed
03/22/2013Seems like every hotel is far from the hotel, very nice staff awesome pool and the beds were amazing for the 5 hours we did sleep!
